Return of Living the Dream + A Note From the Road

Hi everyone,

The Stick Men tour has already brought me through many places and many memorable shows. After a brief visit to Canada, we are now back on the East Coast of the United States for the final leg of the Brutal tour, with the remaining dates continuing through April 29th. It has been a very special time of year to be traveling, moving from city to city, meeting so many of you, and sharing these evenings together.

As I begin looking ahead to my return to Berlin, I want to finally deliver on something I’ve been promising for a long time: creating more opportunities for us to meet and genuinely engage with one another.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to reintroduce my Living the Dream series.

More than anything, I want this series to be a space for real human connection. It is an opportunity to come together around music and to meet and engage authentically.

Beginning in May, the first offering in this Zoom series will be a deep listening session: a relaxed gathering centered around a lecture and guided listening experience, in which I will speak to the music and share reflections, followed by optional time for open discussion and conversation. Participation in the discussion is welcome, but never required.

These 90-minute gatherings will give us an opportunity to spend time together and speak openly about the music, or anything else that comes to mind. At times this may include my own work or unreleased material in progress, but more often it will be recordings by other artists that have stayed with me over the years and continue to inspire me.

The aim is to offer these sessions every other weekend, creating a regular rhythm for connection and exchange around our love of music.

Participation is open to everyone. A suggested donation of €25.00 is welcome to help support the offering, though it is not required and can be skipped during the registration process.

For our first session, I have chosen a very special “mystery” album for us to discover together and you will not want to miss it ;) For future gatherings, I would be glad to hear your suggestions for albums or artists you would especially enjoy exploring.

The first meeting will be held on Saturday, May 9th: REGISTER HERE

Wishing you all well for the coming weeks, and perhaps I will see some of you before long.

Much love,

Markus
